RESUMEN
El artículo analiza el empleo de la inteligencia por fuente humana (HUMINT) en las operaciones militares, destacando su valor estratégico y los dilemas éticos y legales que conlleva. El estudio examina el marco normativo nacional e internacional aplicable a la HUMINT, así como los sesgos presentes en su ejecución. Se resalta la tensión entre el cumplimiento de la misión y el respeto a los principios éticos. Finalmente, se propone la necesidad de un marco normativo y manuales operativos que integren legalidad, ética y control institucional.
ABSTRACT
This article examines the use of Human Intelligence (HUMINT) in military operations, emphasizing its strategic value and the ethical and legal dilemmas it entails. It assesses national and international legal frameworks governing HUMINT activities. The research underscores the tension between mission accomplishment and ethical principles. Finally, it advocates for the development of regulatory frameworks and operational manuals integrating legality, ethics, and institutional oversight.
